Homeland

One who might glare at the happiness of simplicity,
One who might scoff at the place of freedom and will,
One who might fall into sorrow at the tiniest of change in the flow,
One who might bide well with brief respite into the world of another,
I am the one who wishes to welcome you into my world.
Do you feel it?  That pulse so close now at hand, feel it closely, and do as I do -
They tell me they cannot let go and I say so simply in reply: Why?  Why not set free your sorrows and live as I do, no longer denying the eternal beauty and graces of an ancient land wishing you home?
Feral I may seem to some, but if only you all knew the feel of that one simple beat that would wake…
They tell me, again denying my strength, saying that I don not realize, and I break in:  Hush now, do not hinder the beat of Gaia; as I beg you not to be further breaking her heart with your absence.
Silencing their voices which are harsh and shrill after not being allowed her nectar, I tell them listen, listen and you might just hear it; the beating of this land in your bones,
Hear the wind as it calls your name, filling your once empty heart with warmth and chill at once, rolling so smoothly across the folding wild grasses of the emerald green forever sea,
Feel the heated sparks of your enveloped soul awaken as if with that new life given, warm as the sun on a springtime peak that still has room to grow after such a small taste,
Know the beauty of your past as you bask in the starry glow at night, knowing where eagles have flown, gracefully soaring as their wingtips touch the clouds at such great and unimaginable heights, remember:
Cutting, through the air,
Twisting, writhing in unbearable pain as your final release is set,
Falling, finally with such sweet relief such as what comes with the rain,
Shredding, through the air faster and faster as your strength does grow into infinity,
Recover from your long awaited majestic dance with the sky’s mighty ruler,
Break and shatter with their piercing cry as it beckons you closer, stronger, becoming more defined,
With each passing moment, absorb the beauty of the moon as it comes to greet you in your new life, climbing over the mountain barrier which had once hidden her from your view,
Watch in wonder and sweet recluse as she dances with her partner in the sky, yet never do they touch only to repel once again after enveloping in a single haloed embrace,
Know the joy as the wind whispers ever so lightly in your ear through the trees as it’s voice, sharing pleasant views of life and forever peace over the glistening waters’ flow,
My smile welcomes you both into and out of my homeland which seems to you as myth, now I am the one to ask the question, however I need only use my eyes:  
Tell me now, as you have finally awakened from your sleep,
