Thanks to the lovely submitting the 25th entry into the contest (and one featuring both Fallon and So-Rin together too!) there are now 4 more prizes in the contest, 3 for artwork featuring both Fallon and So-Rin and an additional 3-month membership that I'm calling the "Deviant's Choice Award" which will be decided by all of you, my lovely fellow deviants in the form of a poll once the contest 's submission period has concluded!

Due to my adding a category for those of you who decided to draw them together, I'm also increasing the maximum number of allowed entries per person to 3 just in case if anyone who's already drawn Fallon and So-Rin individually for the contest would be interested in trying to draw them together

Thanks so much to everyone who has participated so far - who could've thought that this little contest I decided to do as a way to celebrate my 24th birthday would turn into something so big? I can't wait to see even more artwork as the final deadline approaches - it's still very much anyone's contest to win!

Let's take a moment and see just how many people there are now... one, two, three... ten... sixteen... that makes 19 entries...
19 entries!?!?!
Never in all my wildest dreams did I imagine so many people would be interested in drawing Fallon and So-Rin! And every entry gets me so excited and fills me with so many ideas... do you all have any idea how difficult it's going to be for me when the contest ends to pick from among them?

So... to make things potentially a little easier (or even harder) as we head into the last few weeks before the contest ends, if there gets to be 25 or more entries , I'll be adding a couple more prizes again, including at least one or two for those of you who've expressed an interest in drawing Fallon and So-Rin together in the same picture. Remember you can submit up to 2 entries in the contest, so if you've already drawn one of my characters but would also like to draw the other (or even both in a single drawing), go for it!

Thanks so much again everyone for all your lovely work, and best of luck to all of you - at this point it truly is still anyone's contest to win!

UPDATE 9/16

So much wonderful art has been coming in the last few days I'm practically speechless - if only there wasn't so many wonderful things to say about all the entries!

A number of people have been asking for an extension on the contest, so I've decided to go ahead and extend it another 2 weeks as you can see by the new deadline above now saying it's October 14th. And based on the number of people who have asked for an extension, I'm going to go ahead and let everyone know now that there's new prizes! There are now 6 total prizes available in the drawing contest, 3 for art featuring Fallon, and 3 for art featuring So-Rin (there aren't that many entries featuring him yet, so if you've been considering drawing him your chances couldn't be better!)

Even if you've submitted something already, each person can submit up to 2 pieces of artwork for the contest, so I guess what I'm saying is... I hope to see even more wonderful art from you all, my fellow Deviants!

If anyone would be interested in a prize centered around drawing the two of them together, let me know and I might make a prize category for that too if enough people are interested

Time for a little contest~

A couple months ago we did a simple giveaway that anyone could enter, so this time around I want to do an art contest for those of you traditional and digital artists out there (don't worry writers/poets and crafters, contests where you can show off your skills will be coming after this one!)

So the theme this time (if you haven't seen the title already) is:

Draw My OCs!

For this contest you can choose between the characters in my latest story! Either go with Fallon or So-Rin, or if you're feeling ambitious you can even draw one of the other characters (there aren't that many, but they're there for those of you who've read it♥)

Extra consideration will go to those who draw characters either doing something or in a scene from the first 3 chapters or from their character interviews (you can find So-Rin's interview here:

And Fallon's is on my Patreon: www.patreon.com/posts/oc-inter… ), but don't let that hold you back if you have an idea! You might just "inspire" what I write in the future too

References:

NOTE: I've gotten a few questions about So-Rin's footwear, so for that I'd say he wears something along the lines of what Koga from Inuyasha wears on his feet (like in this pic here orig12.deviantart.net/88be/f/2… ). This is so So-Rin can jump into the water at any time without having to take off boots,shoes, etc. since he spends so much time in the water. He also has webbed toes like his hands, so he's a really good swimmer

Some other things not shown well in the references are Fallon's tail (So-Rin however doesn't have one), and the coloring of So-Rin's wings. For that I advise you to check out pictures of the Northern Cardinal for Fallon, and the Great Blue Heron for So-Rin (the birds they were designed with in mind)

Keep artwork PG-13 at most (nothing NSFW or Mature here - thanks for your understanding)

Art must be new and submitted after the contest begins

Please do not submit hate art! Artwork deemed hate art will be disqualified for the contest.

If you don't normally draw humans/humanoids, I would still love to see my OCs in your style! Be it furries, regular humans, ponies, etc. - go ahead and be creative, my fellow artists!

Fallon

The heroine of the story who's had a difficult history, and is on a mission in hopes of making up for a past mistake.

Although she's smaller and frailer than most female Avin at her age, she's a hard worker who would do anything to help someone in need (or even if they're not in need).

Has a bit of a complex about her bright coloration and small stature, and isn't the best flier, but she always does her best.

So-Rin

The fun-loving hero of the story. Raised alone in a desolate place, his only friends before he meets Fallon are his Teacher and his birds.

A natural-born hunter of sea, land, and sky who likes cute things (it's too bad cute things generally do their best to avoid him). Tends to behave a bit wildly and act before he thinks, but he grows more conscientious and aware of the world with each passing day once he meets Fallon.

He may be learning quickly, but he also has a lot to catch up on (including the fact that Fallon isn't actually a male).
